About us
Murano Classics was born when our founders discovered the Venetian art of glassmaking on a trip to the island of Murano near Venice. Today we offer handcrafted chandeliers and lamps in authentic Murano glass, each piece blown by Italian glass masters with a craft tradition spanning over a thousand years.

Product & quality
The chandeliers are hand-blown by glass masters with over 20 years of experience in the glassblowing tradition of the Venice region. They are produced on the mainland near Venice, not on the island of Murano itself. Each piece is handcrafted and mouth-blown — no two are exactly alike.
We are transparent about this because we take pride in the craftsmanship and quality, regardless of geography.
As a result, no Murano certificate is included with the lamps, as this is reserved for the small production that still takes place on the island of Murano.
Yes. The chandeliers are standard 220–230V and work well with a dimmer — you just need dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. No limitations. Plejd works well in practice. If you use a DALI system, dimming is handled via the correct dimmer module in the system — an electrician can confirm the setup.
Standard is 220–230V, but we can adapt the electrical setup to 110–120V on request — standard in the US and certain other markets. If you require the 110–120V version, add a note in the cart comment field when ordering, or email us after placing your order at post@muranoclassics.com.
We offer patinated chrome, polished chrome, matte gold, patinated matte gold, and polished gold.
Patinated chrome suits most interiors. Gold frames bring a warmer, more luxurious feel — matte gold is sophisticated and understated, polished gold is radiant. You can view all frames side by side on the Frame Selection page.

Ceiling height matters: for ceilings below 290 cm, we recommend models with fewer than 45 glasses — typically 36 tubes, 41 drops or similar — so the chandelier doesn't dominate vertically.

No, bulbs are not included. The bulb type and quantity are listed in each model's product description. Most models use E14 or E27 — we recommend dimmable LED with a warm colour temperature (2700K).
Yes, the chain can easily be shortened or extended. You can do this yourself, or specify your preferred length in the order comments and we'll adjust it at the factory.
Orders, payment and delivery
Chandeliers are made to order in Italy and shipped via DHL / FedEx. Typical delivery time is 2–3 weeks from order — often closer to 10–14 days. Gold frames not in stock may take approx. one extra week (both matte and gloss gold).
You will receive a tracking number by email once your order has shipped.
No — for customers within the EU, no extra duties or customs charges apply upon delivery. Items are shipped from Italy within the EU, and the price shown in the store is the final price you pay.
For customers outside the EU — such as the USA, UK, Australia and other markets — local customs and import duties may apply upon entry. This varies by country and is beyond our control. We recommend checking the applicable regulations in your market before placing an order.
Card (Visa/Mastercard), Klarna and Apple Pay/Google Pay via Shopify Payments, or bank transfer.
For B2B or larger orders, we can offer a proforma invoice and bank transfer. Payment must be received before items are dispatched from Italy.
We'll take care of it. Send us photos of the broken glass and packaging, and we'll order replacement glass and ship it as quickly as possible — at no extra cost to you. Note: The claim must be submitted within 14 days to be covered by the included insurance.
Installation
The mounting process is relatively straightforward, but we recommend having an electrician or tradesperson assess the ceiling fitting — especially for heavier models or older buildings. Standard 230V wiring with earthing is used.
