Terms of Purchase for Murano Classics

Introduction

These terms of purchase ("Terms of Purchase") apply to consumer purchases of goods over the Internet from Murano Classics. The terms comply with Norwegian legislation and are intended to supplement the law with important rights and obligations for the transaction. All purchases are governed by the current version of the Terms of Purchase, available on our website.

1. The Agreement

The agreement consists of these Terms of Purchase, information provided during the purchasing process, and any specifically agreed terms. In the event of any conflict between the information, the specifically agreed terms shall take precedence, provided they do not contravene mandatory laws.

    2. Parties

      Seller:
      MuranoClassics.com

The buyer is the consumer placing the order.

      3. Prices

The price stated for the product is the total price the buyer is required to pay. This price includes all taxes and additional charges. No extra costs will be added without the buyer's consent.

        4. Conclusion of Agreement

The agreement becomes binding when the order is confirmed by the buyer. An order is not binding if there are typographical or input errors in the seller's offer on the web store or in the buyer's order.

          5. Payment

Murano Classics accepts payment through Shopify Payments, which includes Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Apple Pay. The payment will be reserved and charged on the buyer's card upon order.

            6. Delivery

The chandeliers are made to order, and the typical delivery time is between 2-3 weeks from order to delivery. For custom frames, which are not standard (patina chrome), additional waiting time due to production should be anticipated. Goods are shipped with DHL Express/FedEx, and the customer will receive all necessary information via SMS and email.

6a. International delivery — customs, duties and refused acceptance

For deliveries outside the EU, the buyer is responsible for all import duties, customs charges, VAT and other government-imposed fees that arise in the destination country. These are collected by the carrier (DHL/FedEx) on delivery and are charged in addition to the price paid to Murano Classics.

If the buyer refuses to pay import duties, fails to collect the package, or otherwise causes the shipment to be returned to our warehouse in Italy, the following actual costs will be deducted from any refund:

              • The actual outbound shipping cost (from Italy to the buyer)
              • The actual return shipping cost (from the destination country back to our warehouse in Italy)
              • Any administrative fees from DHL/FedEx related to return, re-routing, customs clearance or storage

Murano Classics charges only the actual costs that appear on invoices from the carrier — we do not add any mark-up. Documentation of these costs can be provided on request.

We recommend that customers outside the EU check the import rules of their country before placing an order.

              7. Risk of the Product

The risk of the product passes to the buyer when he or she or their representative has taken over the product.

                8. Right of Withdrawal

The buyer has the right of withdrawal for 14 days from receipt of the product, except for items marked "Custom Order." To exercise the right of withdrawal, the buyer must notify Murano Classics within the deadline. The buyer also bears all costs associated with the return.

                  How to start a return

To exercise your right of withdrawal you must send an email to post@muranoclassics.com within 14 days of receiving the item. In the email, include your order number and state that you wish to return. We will reply with the return address in Italy and further instructions. The rules below apply to all returns, regardless of delivery country.

                  How to return

The item must be returned to the address in Italy provided in our reply. The return shipment must be sent insured via DHL Express or FedEx, and the cost of return shipping is paid by the buyer. The item must be returned unused and in its original packaging to be eligible for refund. Tracking and insurance documentation should be sent to post@muranoclassics.com.

                  Deductions from the refund

Once the item is received and inspected, Murano Classics will refund the purchase price with the following deductions:

                  • The actual outbound shipping cost Murano Classics paid to send the item to the buyer (as shown on the DHL/FedEx invoice).
                  • Transaction processing fees from the payment provider (Stripe / Shopify Payments) related to the original payment — up to 5% of the order amount. These fees are not refunded by the payment provider when a refund is issued.

Murano Classics charges only actual costs — no mark-up. Documentation (carrier invoice and payment provider statement) can be provided on request.

The exception for items marked "Custom Order" (see the first paragraph of section 8) is unchanged — these are not covered by the right of withdrawal.

For withdrawals on deliveries outside the EU, the same principle applies as in section 6a: the actual shipping and administrative costs (outbound shipping, return shipping to our warehouse in Italy, and any DHL/FedEx administrative fees) are deducted from the refund, based on the actual costs shown on the carrier's invoice.

                  9. Delays and Non-Delivery

In the event of delays or non-delivery, the buyer has rights in accordance with the Consumer Purchase Act, including the right to withhold the purchase price, demand performance, rescind the purchase, and/or claim compensation.

                    10. Defects in the Product

In the event of defects in the product, the buyer must contact Murano Classics at post@muranoclassics.com within a reasonable time. The complaint period is two years, or five years if the product is intended to last significantly longer.

                      10.a Damage During Transport

Murano Classics takes full responsibility for any damage that occurs to the glass of the chandelier during transport to the buyer. All shipments are insured, and if glass is broken during transport with DHL/FedEx, we will replace the damaged parts at no additional cost to the buyer.

We always include 1 or 2 extra glass pieces in the shipment as insurance in case 1-2 glasses are broken during transport. If more than the extra glasses are broken upon arrival, we ask the buyer to inform us of this within 2 weeks (14 days) after receipt of the product. This allows us to report the damage to DHL and ensure it is covered by insurance.

If the buyer does not report damages within this timeframe, we regret to inform that we cannot cover the costs for replacement glasses, and the buyer will have to pay for new glasses themselves.

                      11. Seller's Rights in Case of Buyer Default

In case of default by the buyer, the seller has the right to withhold the product, demand performance, rescind the purchase, and claim compensation from the buyer.

                        12. Warranty

Any warranties grant the buyer rights in addition to those the buyer already has under the law. A warranty does not limit the buyer's statutory rights.

                          13. Personal Data

Murano Classics processes personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act. Information will not be disclosed to third parties unless necessary to fulfill the agreement.

                            14. Dispute Resolution

Complaints should be directed to Murano Classics within a reasonable time. We will attempt to resolve any disputes amicably.

                              Disclaimer for Information Errors
